Pain and Glory, triptych, 255 × 370 × 70 cm, staples on wood, 2025/2026
Countless luminous particles move in perpetual wandering, though stillness has been imposed upon them as the primordial law of existence of this one—this only—world. They exist only to fade moments later, making space for others that follow different trajectories. At times they rise and condense, forming monumental nebular symphonies; at others they disperse in fear, fall, touch the earth, feel its warmth, and erupt—bringing forth new life. Here they are fragmented; elsewhere they gather into armies, their gleaming surfaces signaling strength and value. What do they struggle for? For this place, marked by gaps and imperfections? Here lies their home, their garden—and that walnut tree before which I wish to stand and weep for this one—this only—world.
